Compiz Animation Add-On's Missing on Ubuntu 12.10 64 Bit
Hi, I am new to this forum, and I have a small problem with compiz, and its settings manager.
For some reason, I can't seem to get the Animation Add-On to appear in the settings manager. (I am really desperate for the burn effect!!!)
When I install compiz-plugins-extra from Synaptic, nothing happens.
And I can't seem to at all install compiz-fusion-plugins-extra which is what I have been also trying to do as well.
When I type "sudo apt-get install compiz-fusion-plugins-extra" in the terminal,
Terminal tells me "E: Unable to locate package compiz-fusion-plugins-extra"
Please help, and if any of you know how to solve this issue, please reply quickly.
Thanks in advance :)

Having the same issue. Installed and reinstalled the compiz-plugins-extra (compiz-fusion-plugins-extra seem not to be a valid package) but can load the add-ons on CCSM.
I'm running ver 12.10 64bits on a Dell Inspiron N7010.
Re: Compiz Animation Add-On's Missing on Ubuntu 12.10 64 Bit
The extra animations (including the burn effect) are no longer available for 12.10. The development team is pretty much one guy, so only effects that are used for Unity are supported as a workload priority method.
You can get some effects back by using the Compiz Experimental PPA, like Window Previews and Reflection, but still no burn.
