secureboot won't stay off
Anybody know how to keep secureboot turn off, on Asus x202e once you turn securboot off and boot into USB you can use Ubuntu 64 but if you turn off your computer/notebook and later turn it back on again, the secureboot is turn back on by itself.
With or without the USB or even if you boot to USB, you can't unless you turn secureboot off again.
Re: secureboot won't stay off
If you tap F2 during the boot up, do you get a bios boot menu?
Re: secureboot won't stay off
On booting I' have to press delete to go to bios, no other button gets me there...
Re: secureboot won't stay off
OK Sorry
What does the Asus documentation say (I mean the manual) about turning it off?
Re: secureboot won't stay off
I' don't know, had no idea there was documentation , well check this idea out, thanks and will post a result of my findings...
Re: secureboot won't stay off
This is all I was able to find on the manual:
To lock the USB interface:
1. On the SECURITY screen, select I/O Interface Security>USB
Interface Security.
2. Select an interface that you would like to lock then select LOCK.
NOTE: Setting the USB Interface to LOCK also locks and hides the
External Ports and other devices included under USB Interface Security. (THIS WORRIES ME AND I'M NOT SURE WHAT IT MEANS...)
Re: secureboot won't stay off
UEFI is new to us and vendors are not approaching it all with the same song sheet.
ASUS have a help forum I think
Re: secureboot won't stay off
Will try to see if I can get into that possible forum, thanks.
