How to find "Opera" folder
I have Ubuntu installed beside Windblows 7. Everything works well and I am learning. I have installed Opera 12.10 and have imported bookmarks and contacts from Win7 to Ubuntu Opera successfully. Now I want to transfer the "wand.dat" file. I can see the file in Win7, and I know where that file is stored on Ubuntu Opera but cannot get to it. I go to home folder>file system>home>michael there should be another folder "opera". But, it's not there! Where is it?
I played with Red Hat Linux about 10 years ago but never could make it work well. Ubuntu sure is easier. So I am still very much a beginner. Please remember this when you reply.
Thanks Michael
Re: How to find "Opera" folder
config files/directories are hidden by default (. in front of the name)
press ctrl+h to unhide
Re: How to find "Opera" folder
While in your file browser Hit ctrl + h this will show you the hidden files, i.e. the "dot files"
./Opera, Ubuntu hides the configuration files to remove clutter from the Home directory.
You can also go to view>show hidden files in the menu.
