Clean install of 12.10 not stable
I did a clean install of 12.10. I always use a clean install on multiple partitions so that it is easier to return to a stable version.
Adobe flash does not work and seems not to be supported by Adobe.
Login does not allow both Unity and Cairo Dock to both work. You must choose one or the other.
The system locked up twice. This never happened in 12.04, a stable release.
Returned to 12.04 before I could find any other reasons not to use 12.10.

Reason: Not a support question.
I'd give it a few or six months. Only been released a few weeks and is not LTS so going to need some tweaking. 12.04 LTS, once sorted, has been great for me so far. ;)

Re: Clean install of 12.10 not stable
Ubuntu 12.10 is still unstable here as well. God what is happening... I have been using Ubuntu 12.04, they suddenly start asking us agressively for donations while this is the worst Ubuntu ever.
I tried everything I could. But it always crashes when opening Google Chrome or while doing dist-upgrade etc...
I would like to see 12 month release cycles with more quality. And also updated kernels.

I guess that's why we have LTS releases once every two years. If you want stable, stick with them. I'm presuming 12.04 LTS was running just fine.
My motto? If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Unless there is some specific reason to dump a perfectly good, working, supported release for one that has been out two weeks (and therefore expected to be a little flaky), why change?

This statement makes no sense to me.

Stick to LTS releases.

Ubuntu isn't pushing after the "stable" market, that's Debian's territory.
Adobe Flash is closed-source product of AdobeCorp, not much Ubuntu can do to make it not suck.
