To all complaining about Ubuntu 12.10
There is a wide range of "Ubuntu alternatives" out there, but not many with such extreme amount of users, almost any program or problem can be google'd starting with "Ubuntu". And many of the alternative Linux distros is actually based on Ubuntu, they are Ubuntu with another look, user interface and most often with much more software pre-installed. That tells me that Ubuntu is the best Linux base out there, without any competition :!:
And to Ubuntu staff: Over the years we really have been spoiled with Ubuntu releases two times a year that have been from great to amazing in improvement, an for the most, only changes and new features that there was about no discussion was a improvement. Many with me have counted day's in April and October. :) But from about the moment Unity was introduced this was not the case anymore, Ubuntu became more experimental and unfinish (except Ubuntu 12.04 lts)
I think people still do not got used to this change.
To me it is obvious that the tablet computers (touch screen) have taken all OS out there that try to reach both in a bad direction.
And what we Linux users really need is a gaming platform where "100%" of the computers resources can be directed to the running game :)
