Re: Bring on the new version
Just to note because possibly it's gets a bit lost.
Post release for several weeks+ there really isn't that much going on/in the next release but there is in the current release + proposed.
Bugs get fixed-proposed & need testing, verification, either passed or sometimes more significantly a verification-failed if one finds issue or unintended results.
Something to keep in mind..
Re: Bring on the new version
Cariboo907, I seen where the final release was today. But, yet when I go to Ubuntu dot com it only shows 12.04.1 is available to download.
I backed up my stuff and am ready to do a clean install of the final release if I can find it. :D
Thanks
Re: Bring on the new version
Personal opinion. This is 12.04.1 2D my main linux. I'll be replacing my still buggy QQ partitions with RR when sources.list produces something workable.
Tired of fighting QQ Ubuntu/Unity/Compiz/Network Manager quirks (bugs written) on my netbook, notebook, tower.

Also worth mentioning ........ for LTS fans 12.04.2 pops the end of January:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/PrecisePangolin/ReleaseSchedule
And there are testing images:

I know I could sure use some help getting the Quantal version of Abiword added to the Precise proposed repos :)

Re: Bring on the new version
Excuse the noob question, but how do I burn this image to a USB and then upgrade 12.04? Or should I just wait for the upgrade dialog to pop up in 12.04?
EDIT: Never mind about the USB question. Found the disk creator.
EDIT #2: I got the update thru update manager, but the message says it's still a beta version. I'm confused....
