Ubuntu One Duplicate Folders
Hi All,
I just recently upgraded from version 10.04 to 12.04. I noticed that in my Rythmbox player, I have 3 versions of some of my songs. Two of the versions are purchased music from Ubuntu One, the other is my copy in my local Music folder. The location of one folder is Home/glen/.ubuntuone/Purchased from Ubuntu One. The second folder is Home/glen/.local/share/ubuntuone/Purchased from Ubuntu One. Which is the correct (official) folder for my Ubuntu One music purchases for 12.04? Also, I don't want my music shared on Ubuntu One any longer. How do I keep Ubuntu One from syncing my purchased music? I just want to download my purchases and keep them on my local drive.
Thanks...
Re: Ubuntu One Duplicate Folders
This is the response from Ubuntu One support:
"Those aren't duplicate folders. The files in ~/.local/share/ubuntuone
are a local cache that Ubuntu One keeps on the computer to help keep
track of changes to files. It's best not to mess with this folder in
general.
The ~/.ubuntuone/Purchased from Ubuntu One is where music purchased from
the Ubuntu One store are stored."
Re: Ubuntu One Duplicate Folders
I just did a fresh install of 12.10 and synced with Ubuntu One for Purchased Music. Several songs are duplicated in Rhythmbox, which is a real pain. Some albums have two of each track, others have random duplicates, and they all play. How can I correct this?
Ubuntu 12.10 on HP EliteBook 8730w. Thanks
