I am no longer in the forums so I am unable to vote. Though I really like #2. The thick one.
The thin looks a little lighter 'weight'. The other has too much fo one color and not enough white.
I think #2 (Thick) 'pops' the best - more color and less white as compared to the other possible logo.
The circle around the Ubuntu logo breaks up the corners and straight lines.
All the white in #1 takes focus away from the logo - it draws my eyes away from the Ubuntu logo.
I find #2 more appealing to look at than #1.
If more white is what others want, try making the circle and Ubuntu logo a bit bigger inside the thick keystone symbol.
My two cents. ;)
Yeah I really like the "thin" version too. I think it is better to have some white space between the "keystone" and the ubuntu logo.
I'm with Silver.. something about halfway between the two.. Thin is too thin, thick it too orange..
I prefer #2.
