Parametric equalizer for jack

Looking for a parametric equalizer to use with jack/qjackctl. Any recommendations?

I've seen references to jackeq, pulseaudio-equalizer, exaile, and fil-plugins, but I don't know enough about jack/Ubuntu sound architecture to be able to figure out which ones will work. (Believe I am using ALSA rather than pulseaudio, in 10.04 64-bit.)

Also, I'm looking for something with a good number of bands (20? 30?), as I would like to be able to do some fairly fine shaping.
