Someone can just make a bunch of accounts and set their calendar. Posting actually makes it necessary for them ro reveal their true colors.

How about something like this >50 posts or >15 posts AND >1 month? You could make the second part 20 posts even, but I would hope that you'll see their "true colors" within 15 posts.
Regardless of what is decided (if any alternatives are considered or not), I hope that it's specified in the "Register" page that you won't be able to customize your profile (and whatever other restrictions are in place). That should reduce or eliminate the "I can't customize...." posts (at least from the new users).
Have a great day:)
Patrick.

I think OpenOffice.org may be referring to his recent several posts in this thread. The FF&H is also exempt from the bean count if I recall correctly. Will check with this post and see if my count goes up by 1 :) (or staff could confirm/disprove this).
Edit: yep as I expected no bean count increase with this post. FF & H posts also don't count towards beans OpenOffice.org.
Edit 2: staff already have confirmed this in post #49, thanks sisco311 (post # 86)

Mine's been at 22 since I started posting in this thread. So I can confirm it.
The down side to this is that more people will be posting just to post. Because now there's a goal/reward for posting.

There has always been a goal/reward..... it is helping others

Ubuntu is an ancient African word meaning 'humanity to others'. It also means 'I am what I am because of who we all are'. The Ubuntu operating system brings the spirit of Ubuntu to the world of computers.

Shouldn't the "Report abuse" button be limited to people with over 50 posts as well?
Right now, you don't have to have over 50 posts to just annoy the mods.
Just an idea.
