Where can i buy a good laptop for not a lot of money?
I want a laptop that has a DVD drive, touch-pad like on the mac book, pretty thin, light up keyboard and less than $300.
I guess im aiming a little high but i thought id ask.
I currently have a chrome book which i like, but i cant install Ubuntu on it.
Thanks,
tahdas

Which Chromebook?
I'm sure that someone will have Ubuntu installed on it soon.
As for your request - a Macbook like-touchpad is non-existent except on Macbooks, to my knowledge. DVD drives are on the way out in thin laptops / netbooks / ultrabooks too - might have to accept an external.

I not sure the of the model number of the chrome book, but I know it would require skills I don't hav ego install another OS on it. I searched eBay, but it's all above my range, which is Really $200 max.
I think I might have to build a computer, is this hard? Can I do it for less than $200?
I have a old desktop maybe I could salvage parts.
Thanks,
Tahdas

Those laptops dont look like what i want. And $200 is the max i'll go. If there was a macbook for $200 id jump for it.
