Powerpoint automatically opens file as slide show view

I have Ubuntu 11.10, and I installed Microsoft Office 2007 in Wine 1.2. I added the riched20.dll to the libraries in Wine configuration and everything is working fine. However, whenever I tried to open a .ppt file, it opened as slide show view instead of normal view. I pressed Esc and clicked End Show but Powerpoint just quit the application. The only way I could open it as normal view was by opening the Powerpoint program first and went to File > Open > Choose the file. Does anyone have a suggestion to fix this issue?
