I have install wine 1.4 in my ubuntu 13.04. I am able to install windows programs through wine but when I run them, it shows a message that "The appplication suffered from a serious error and it needs to close."

Wine does not run all Window apps, in fact, it only runs some apps OK.
You need to go to the WineHQ website and search the Application Compatibility tool for the app and version you're trying to use.
If it's not listed, or if the rating is less than Gold, trying to use that app is largely going to be a waste of time.

I am installing foxit reader via wine and I know it works because it was working flawlessly 1 week ago when I was using ubuntu 12.04.Quote:
