Are their any alternative present to DreamWeaver?
AlternativeTo is a good site for looking for alternatives to popular software products.
With respect to DreamWeaver, it suggests the following.
EDIT: Moved thread to General Help.
I recommend Bluegriffon, its based in Kompozer, the best wysiwyg web editor for linux (now dead).
I don't think there is a real alternative to Dreamweaver.
I use Quanta but it doesn't compare.
For putting together a site template (I.e. the frame around the site's content) I recommend Quick and Easy Web Builder. It's pretty great, it's in Software Center and costs $20. There is a time limited demo available from their website.
Note this cannot be used for editing an existing site. You're still stuck with Kompozer or the like for that.
I would agree completely. But Dreamweaver is a bit of a behemoth these days, would you really want it to run a couple of sites? If so get yourself a Windows VirtualMachine and pay Adobe several hundreds of dollars for a license. If not you could do worse than learn a little HTML and CSS and use Bluefish, this is what I use for my own hobby site:
Andrew's Corner of the Web

Always keen to give the site a plug :)
What are the differences between Kompozer and Bluefish?
He's saying Kompozer is dead, not Bluegriffon. Of course since they are now using the Gecko engine that is less of a concern.
