How do readers start audio apps?
This is just a curiousity. I am wondering how others start up their audio apps. Of course there is a plethora of ways, including:
- Terminal, duh, I wanna watch all those warnings fly by...
- Unity launcher/desktop launcher
- Dash
- Shortcut key
- HUD
I've become quite fond of using HUD for this. Since the menu items available for the HUD is presumably much smaller than the search base for Dash, I find tapping Alt and typing either Rhythm... or Pitho... tends to find it extremely fast, and it's always the first item.
I'd like to know if there are other interesting ways, or just what other thoughts people have on the subject.
Re: How do readers start audio apps?
Normally by clicking on a music file in the Music lens.
If you install Easystroke, you could bind rhythmbox to a mouse gesture. You could even have different mouse gestures to launch it with different playlists, if you wanted to.

I just hit Super+M, and that loads Audacious for me. From there, I can manage Playlists or whatever.

The easiest of all, the sound menu.

Since pianobar is about the only audio app I use, I start it in the terminal.
