Encore Wireless N300 PCI-E Adapter: Slow connection.
Hi, I just got the wireless card above for my Ubuntu 13.04 system.
The computer recognizes it and im able to go on the internet (I'm using it now to create this) but the connection speed is really slow or non existent. I get about 10-40Kib/s but its drops constantly to 0. This stops me from using youtube, steam, or any thing else that requires constant connection and a lot of page refreshing is done.
I know theirs a driver for it on the Encore Website but i'm pretty much a complete noob and I don't know what to do with it. So if any one could direct me to another forum or help me with a Noob step-by-step instructions that would be amazing. Thank you!

Please I still need help with this!
Re: Encore Wireless N300 PCI-E Adapter: Slow connection.
From a Newegg review: "you will need the rtl8192ce driver from the Realtek website if it is not built in to your kernel." Use lsmod to see if rtl8192ce is being used.
Do you have the N42 or the N45? The Newegg reviews for the N42 gave the unit a very low rating, and the N45 was just a little better. Reviews from Linux users were all over the map.

I'm thinking about getting a different one, any suggestions??
Also thank you for responding, I was able to get a wired connection but I'm afraid that royalty will be leaving in a couple of weeks.
