f17 is currently on 3.5.x, its planned to get an update to 3.6. Not sure which one it was released with, but probably newer than 3.2.

I've got a ThinkPad T530. It works flawlessly with both openSUSE 12.2 and Ubuntu 12.10 - it sleeps and wakes up instantly when the lid is opened/closed, all the function keys work, the battery indicator on the outside of the machine works perfectly, the WIFI connects within 5-10 seconds of waking up, etc... Only thing that doesn't work on either is the fingerprint reader, but I knew that when I bought the machine.

I'd just like to add, I got my new system76 lemur ultra delivered today :). Suspend and Hibernate works fine out of the box (well... as out of the box as hibernate can possibly work in ubuntu, I had to use the polkit tweak to enable it obviously).
In fact every single thing I've tried works out of the box, such as the all of the keyboard hotkeys, the system76 guys did a great job IMO.
