install/vmlinuz not found while booting from USB.
HI all,
I tried to find resolution to this problem by searching all forums but could not find any, hence creating new thread.
I am downloaded ubuntu-12.04-desktop-amd64.iso and trying to install it from USB as per instructions given here
http://www.ubuntu.com/download/help/...ick-on-windows
I am trying to boot system from USB to install it but I am not getting a screen where we need to choose "try ubuntu" or "install ubuntu".
I am able to select lang. but after that I am getting an below error.
"install/vmlinuz file not found".
from whatever I have got it might be related to some graphics card driver, but not sure though.

Re: install/vmlinuz not found while booting from USB.
same here, except I am trying to install on an AMD 64 machine.
we can't be the only ones, did you ever figure it out?
Re: install/vmlinuz not found while booting from USB.
Wow, like a tomb in here these days.
I decided there is something wrong with the AMD64 12.04 ISO currently available for download.
Downloaded it twice and could not get a boot from either optical or USB media on 2 different machines. 11.10 and 12.10 both work fine.
Went ahead and put 12.10 on, can't say I like it much, what is with the advertisments built into the GUI?
I hear arch is nice this time of year
