Fingerprint reader for acer aspire 4736z

Hello, I'm a little bit new here in ubuntuforums so I don't if I posted under the right category.

Anyway, may question is this. Does ubuntu 9.04 has a fingerprint reader for acer aspire 4736z? I've read that ubuntu has a fingerprint reader for toshiba, lenovo and hp, but it seems i can't find one for acer...

I am using maverick on Acer Aspire 4736z, and the fingerprint reader is not even detected. I tried using fprint but it doesn't support the reader on my laptop properly.

Any ideas? Does BioAPI work properly?
