Did you extracted and copied the correct file? Because it is working here and several other users also reported that it worked.

Strange thing happened, everything I view on youtube now has its colors all messed up. Haven't the foggiest idea why. Reinstall flash? Kind of puzzled. If I download the video my media player displays colors properly, but when streamed it fouls up the colors.
Any advice would be great, otherwise I'll just get used to blue people. Weird...

Good Grief! this is a PITA. I've tried at least 3 of the options here, no go."Global Settings" throws me to the adobe help pages. /usr/lib/adobe-flashplugin/libflashplayer.so fix does nothing, so on...
Hell even finding this page, and the help suggestions sucks.
I've hated adobe for years, and this is just another reason to despise those jerk-wads.

This is a known bug with the most recent (and sadly final) release of flashplayer on NVIDIA adapters with hardware acceleration enabled. Try right-clicking on the video and unchecking the HW acceleration box, then refresh the page.
I have created a thread which explains the easy methods of fixing this:

I haven't noticed anything wrong in your report. However, cince you are using adobeflashplugin, there is no need for the npwrapper. You can remove it with this:
I just noticed that you was trying to disable flash hardware acceleration in "Global Settings". It is just "Settings", not the global one.Code:sudo apt-get purge nspluginwrapper
For info...
Xubuntu Update Manager advised me Flash v.11.2.202.233 was available so I crossed my fingers there would be no Smurf Avatar effect and ran the update.
Straight to YouTube and there were the blue faces again.
Rolled back to working version 11.1.102.63 and all is fine again.
