have you chased from Long term support releases only to Normal releases in system>Administration>Software Sources>Updates
ya i have done that!
- have you tried to change your download server?
- in terminal try typing "sudo update-manager -d", or "sudo do-release-upgrade" that might work?
Personally i would upgrade via a clean install and make /home and / on two separate partition, less hassle in the long run
Have you clicked the "Check" button in your Update Manager, and if you have, you should try switching your repository mirror.
