Yeah, but those can't make voice calls while IMO can. If I just need to do text chat, I'll use the installed ones. But for Voice chat over Yahoo and MSN, I use IMO.

I've never tried video chat before, but I'm positive voice chat works as I have used it. You only have to make sure you enable microphone from settings. It does say it supports video chat though.

Yahoo messenger for Linux is a very old version. I have downloaded it and it is not easy to configure it. There is program called "Gyache' is almost same as Yahoo messenger. Unlike other IM in Linux like AIM or Empathy it can be used for getting rooms and chat with anybody.
