I was perhaps a bit blunt but that lengthy message makes little to no sense;
#1: Where is the "staging forum"?
#2: What is "Canonical IS"?
"IS" could mean a few different things.
My post was at the water cooler where I felt we could express ourselves openly, but I perhaps could have used an appropriate "smiley" to indicate that it was meant as a "tongue-in-cheek" criticism.
My point was that the message is too lengthy and confusing :)

You'd have found out where the staging forum is by reading the last line and actually doing that. Posting a thread looking for details for it would have got you nowhere.
IS is Canonical support - it could mean a few things, but given that we're talking about the upgrade and mention Canonical then it's probably fairly safe to assume so.
I'm not sure why you think the Code of Conduct doesn't apply in the cafe - it does.

The thread was a barely disguised jab at staff and was dealt with accordingly.
