hi, i need to create a new physical volume in ubuntu server 11.04 by using commands.... any one have ideas about it?
i trying this commands:
sudo pvcreate /dev/sda6 but i can't createa physical volumes..

Do you have LVM installed and is /dev/sda6 an LVM partition?
