Proposed Member Intro 12/22/2007

Hi. My name is Marti and I live in upper NW DC.I created my Launchpad account today.

I ran Red Hat Linux with the help of a friend some time ago. I had been running Xubuntu on my own and was so happy that the default LiveCD install just simply worked with my Verizon DSL. I am not SysAdmin caliber but I really enjoy Linux.

A HW issue -of my fault!- with the old desktop I ran Xubuntu on is forcing me to get a new one from madtux.org. The 7+ year old PC is finally dead.

Please wish me luck in getting BACK to Linux.
