Getting onto the internet using my Cricket Mobile Broadband Card?
Hey everyone,
I have been havig problems with my Cricket USB Card on my main computer (works fine on others), so I wiped my HD and resintalled windows. It didn't help.
So I decided to look into Ubuntu. It's looking good, but I need help getting it online, and my only option is my Cricket card.
I've tried using this guide:
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=949838
But I keep getting the "E: Couldn't find package kppp" when I run:
Code:
sudo apt-get install kppp
I downloaded kppp on another computer and moved it via SD card, but I don't know what to do with the files I got in it...
(Here's where I got the download: http://www.tucows.com/download.html?software_id=31988)
Thanks for the help!

I can create and AdHoc on this computer, and Ubuntu recognizes it, but after a while of trying to connect it says it is disconnected :???:

I have the same issue. I Cannot use windows because I have no money, so I'm stuck with trying to figure this out. From the volume of responses to your post I'm thinking this could take a while...
No answers for you, but at least some moral support.
