Started with ubuntu-gnome the upgraded from there, only problem was I didn't upgrade libbluetooth something, that prevented getting a gdm login screen till fixed.
Looking at the 3.90 nautilus - it's, to me, god-awful design. Seems unbalanced, wastes space by truncating the path/location bar, leaving a big space to search button. Then there is the close 'button' which is sitting right on the edge & isn't even a button.
Guess I don't understand design, to me the default, as in screen, looks like a piece of paper I'd crumple up & throw away.
On a positive note, the dnd hover opening the hovered folder seems a bit more delayed in 3.9 compared to 3.8 where I had to disable in one of the 4.5 used places to make usable.
On a neg. note can't stand the way synaptic resets package list after choosing a package, can make for needless scrolling back
Didn't look a keyboard shortcuts much other than ctrl+alt+T didn't work, does so after a simple reset
