xorg-edgers and low refresh rate
Hi,
After updating to xorg-edgers' ppa in 12.04 running glxgears indicated that my refresh rate has dropped to about 90fps from 900 fps using the driver and mesa packages out of the repo. I have a Nvidia G105M video card.
In this installation I am using the nouveau driver.
On a different partition I have 12.10 with the nvidia 313.18 driver from xorg-edgers, the reading of glxgears is about 50fps, this is much lower than nouveau in 12.04. I tested in Unity and gnome classic no effect, the result is the same.
I have a third partition with kubuntu 12.10, also installed the nvida proprietary driver from xorg-edgers, the reading of glxgears is again about 50 fps.
Now even though the refresh rate reported by glxgears is low but overall it doesn't feel slow, graphic performance seems to be great as far as I can tell.
These numbers don't seem to make any sense. It may be a bug in glxgears (in mesa) rather than the driver. I would like to hear your opinions and suggestions for further tests before filing a bug report (it seems there has to be a bug somewhere)

Ok disabling sync to vblank gets ~ 2300 fps (same with kubuntu) though I cannot tell what difference does it make in terms of actual performance (tested with a 1080p video and a game, they were smooth before as they are now)
