Webcam not working with Kopete (yahoo)

Has anybody been able to get webcams working with the kde 4 version of kopete? I am unable to send or recieve webcam video. I know it's not the webcam driver because kopete picks it up in its configuration section and I could test it. In addition to that, it works just fine with skype. Anyway, is there a way I could get my webcam to work with kde4's kopete? If not, does anybody know how I would go about installing kde3's kopete on jaunty? Also, I'm trying to get this to work with an hp hdx 16's webcam.

nope ... the webcam suport on linux absolutely SUCKS big time
my brother went back to windows becouse of this kind of things.
its time for hardware vendors to fuly suport linux.
