[SOLVED] Cannot mount UDF Volume
I have a disc I made in the Windows days - long ago !!- I could open and play this on Media Player. Now 100% UBUNTU I cannot run or open this disc - just get the error " Cannot Mount UDF Volume". Is there a solution or do I have to recreate the whole thing again using the Linux Format ??
Re: Cannot mount UDF Volume
Currently, there is NO workaround for this. I suggest you use a friends XP/Vista and put the files on a USB Drive to get them to your *buntu. Note, this is NOT an issue with Ubuntu. The problem lies in the default data burning capabilities of Vista.

Re: Cannot mount UDF Volume
Hey. Tried compiling as per that link in the above thread. Compiled and loaded insmod fine. Still can't mount UDF CD. I even tried editing my fstab file to substitute UDF for auto, still no luck. Please, let me know if there's a solution to this.
Thanks
Re: Cannot mount UDF Volume
I solved this in two ways, first I went up the USB Route. Downloaded my CD on a friends Vista, saved to USB then downloaded on to my UBUNTU.The second route, which is more useful is to Install Virtual Box virtual machine, then load Windows on to this - then you have a dual machine- you can run anything !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!in fact I have several op systems on Virtual Box.
