Intrepid suspends during network activity
I am running Intrepid on a desktop and have turned the suspend option on under power management.
Suspend works great, except-
I use my desktop computer as a file server, of sorts, for two other computers in my home network. The problem we encounter is that Gnome does not seem to check for network activity before suspending. This results in the computer suspending in the middle of data transfers. Very annoying.
I was wondering if anybody might have any ideas on how to prevent this from occuring? I've done several searches and come up empty.
Thanks

You need to switch from end-of-life Intrepid to currently-supported Precise or Quantal, instructions here: http://ubuntu.com/download
