skype won't launch in side bar
Hi everyone, I solved my Skype problem who wasn't wanting to install well.
But I can only start it from the terminal....
I'm on duallboot W7 and Ubuntu 12.20 64 bits OS
To install Skype 32 bits on Ubuntu 64 bits I made a force start and installed i386 architecture. This solved my problem.
Now Skype is in the side bar of my desktop but when I click on it, it flash 3 times but not launch. But it work with the terminal....
What I can do, if I don't to always let open the terminal to have Skype open?
P.S. I already tried $ rm ~/.Skype/shared.xml
Thx to all, I wait for your answers!
Re: skype won't launch in side bar
Is there a reason why you have to use the 32 bit version of Skype? Is there not a 64 version?
I know on my 64 bit I went to Skype.com and got the multiversion installer. Works fine
Re: skype won't launch in side bar
Can you start Skype from the dash? If so, just drag the icon from the dash to the sidebar.
Re: skype won't launch in side bar
I installed it in 32 bits because there is no 64 bits version for ubuntu 12.10,
I locked and unlocked skype to the side bar ans now it work's from both side var and dash board.
But it do the same thing with Minecraft now, I just installed it a few minutes ago, I will try to restart.
