Chrome OS / Virtualbox Challenge
Can anybody install virtualbox *UNDER* or *INSIDE* Chrome OS or combine the two packages in any way so virtualbox can run natively inside a Chrome OS tab?
I issue this challenge because I am an avid Ubuntu user. I also like to boot up quite often just for email or a quick web search. Booting in 4 seconds directly to a browser is perfect. And yet, sometimes I need the full OS abilities I get with Ubuntu. IF Ubuntu (lucid for me) could run in a tab (fullscreen of course) of Chrome OS, I get the best of both worlds.
I could also eliminate boot commander and other boot loader options since Chrome OS would be the most primitive software running on my laptop other than the BIOS. I could then vector into any other OS (large or small) under virtualbox directly from a Chrome OS bootup.
Any Takers??
Re: Chrome OS / Virtualbox Challenge
I thought the idea of Chrome OS was that nothing can be installed - it is all web based. So no, I don't think this is possible unless google specifically add this feature, which is unlikely.
