How to remove white frame for thumbnails in Nautilus 3.x ?
Does anyone know, how to remove the white frame around thumbnails in Nautilus 3.x. Changing the frame in Nautilus 2.x is shown here: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=12011808 , but with Nautilus 3 there is no file named "thumbnail_frame.png". Greetings LJ

Is it somehow possible to contact the nautilus development team?

I finally found a howto: https://answers.launchpad.net/cover-...uestion/186685, it's possible by recompiling nautilus.
Why do all advanced settings become more and more difficult ...
Attached image: nautilus without thumbnail-frame and folder-preview with cover-thumbnailer (changed images for folder-types)
Edit: by default the shortcut for deleting a file has changes in Nautilus 3 - here is a guide to enable the delete-key:

Got the same problem. I have several frequently-updated folders that contain thousands of high resolution JPGs. The first time I browse into any of them, it takes a long time for Nautilus to generate all the thumbnails.

Re: How to remove white frame for thumbnails in Nautilus 3.x ?
i don't know if the frame has an effect to the time need to create a thumbnail at least i could see any difference. Primary I wanted to get rid of the white frame around the folder-thumbs created with cover-thumbnailer.
Without removing the frame it looked like in the image below.
However there is a new problem after recompiling nautilus; all aditions like unzip, share, etc. are gone from the context-menu. I guess there are some links missing or so. Does someone know how to fix this?

Does someone know how to fix this:confused:
Reinstalling the extension doesn't work. Is the self-compiled nautilus installed in a different directory?
