Re: To get an ISO from files
Brasero can create iso from files easily enough, did you get an error ?
Re: To get an ISO from files
Can You explain how to me?
I don't see the buttom. We can burn a previous ISO to a DVD but I don't see how to make an ISO from folders and files. I mean not to burn to a DVD but to create an ISO in the hard disk that later could be burnt to a DVD.
Thanks

Hah, Format Junkie, participating at the Ubuntu App Showdown contest has this ability:
https://launchpad.net/format-junkie
To install:
Code:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:hakermania/format-junkie
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install formatjunkie

Open Brasero, and add all the files/folders you wish to be part of the image file. Where the Destination is the DVD drive, change it to an Image File. You'll then burn the files to an image, rather than a physical disc.
Re: To get an ISO from files
Fire up Brasero and select Data Project, add the required files and burn, it is that simple. After pressing the burn button you will get a Location for Image File dialogue window for you to decide the destination location and name the iso.
Not sure if the screen shots help, but here are a couple to highlight.

Thanks, hakermania. Read about format junkie in the list of showdown apps, but it's not in the software center yet. I wanted to try it out to convert 3gp files and now I can.
Cheers and thanks again!

If you don't mind getting your hands dirty this can also be done from the commandline:

Just needs a little tweaking to suit your needs :).
