Re: please give me an advice
Your hardware is capable of running any Linux desktop depending on the graphics card/chip. The lighter better known GUI desktop environments include XFCE and LXDE/Open Box. LXDE is the lighter of the two .

Why not just use Slackware?

SalixOS

While I favor the former, the latter is especially suited for older, limited-resource PCs
Best wishes!
Re: please give me an advice
If you want to use Slackware then you should use SLACKWARE and the documentation is here:

Re: please give me an advice
+1 to using Slackware... The oldest distro that I am aware of that is based on Slackware (and for a period it was known as one of the most user friendly ones around) which uses XFCE is Zenwalk (http://www.zenwalk.org/)

Re: please give me an advice
Great time to jump on board with Slackware itself with 14.0 proving to be an excellent and rock solid release :)
Re: please give me an advice
I personally tried Salix, it was pretty decent.
Sure it didnt do what I wanted it to do but it was semi decent IMHO.

You should use better title which can make the reader understand what you want, such as "linux distro fully based on SLACKWARE".
As many persons suggested, I also suggest you Slackware or Absolute linux.
