Came to the wubi board today and see you are still going at it. I posted a reply on the thread re booting problems with -16 version of the kernel. I never thought to bring that here. I don't think it is a wubi problem except that it involves looking for the root file created using wubi and stored in windows. see my comments on the thread.

To refresh your memory... I was trying use wubi with w98se. I now believe that is impossible. A few simple must have additions/change rendered the OS inoperable. I spent hours and hours on the forum and un-installing reinstalling ubuntu and finally yielded to the same advise I got over and over... install by disk. Within a half day I had ubuntu installed and set up exactly how I wanted it, Oh well... I learned a few thing,LOL

You were the most helpful of anyone I have encountered here on the forums. I thank you for that.
