many thanks for your reply.I said I was using ver 9.10 when in fact it is 8.04.3.I have downloaded the realplayer.bin which is on my desk top.When I tried installing via sodo apt-get install realplayer it sais:Reading package lists...done.Building dependency tree,Reading state information...done.Package realplayer is not availablebut is referred to by another packageThis may mean that the package is missing,has been obsoleted or is only available from another source.Many thanks
