I'm working on providing installation instructions for Precise non-pae since the Canonical devs decided to provide only limited support for non-pae systems in 12.04 LTS, and none thereafter.
I've tested UNetbootin in Oneiric using your ppa and found that I can create a non-pae bootable USB using the downloaded proper netboot image, but I wondered it you'll offer both the standard and non-pae versions if a simple minded end-user such as myself needs to create a bootable USB rather than a CD?
You can read about what I'm doing here:
Many thanks in advance,
Lance, aka Erick Brunzell on Launchpad and obviously 'kansasnoob' here at the forums.
PS: I'd never used UNetbootin before but I'm very impressed
I'm really excited about your script--fantastic!--and was going to write about it for MakeUseOf.com. I notice, though, that the PPA doesn't work on 10.10. Is there any chance of this being updated? Thanks!
Hey tuxcantfly. Thanks a lot for your ocr script. Installing now.
tried adding your ppa (sudo add-apt-repository ppa:gezakovacs/ppa ) but got this:
Executing: gpg --ignore-time-conflict --no-options --no-default-keyring --secret-keyring /etc/apt/secring.gpg --trustdb-name /etc/apt/trustdb.gpg --keyring /etc/apt/trusted.gpg --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com --recv BCCCC1E2835433FA7DB85D51D45DF2E8FC91AE7E
gpg: requesting key FC91AE7E from hkp server keyserver.ubuntu.com
gpg: keyserver timed out
gpg: keyserver receive failed: keyserver error
