doesn't work under Ubuntu any versions, 10.04, 10.10, 11.04,
including 12.04 flesh installed.

But I used 10.04 due to stability and temp sensor functions.

and got

I have spent many hours and days, can't work out.

Hi Lidex .....

I am on 11.10 now Oneiric and my sound has gone again ..... the previous fix does not work this time ...... I wondered if you could help me again ... its in the Oneiric section and is only happening on my 64 bit installation ..... Acer Aspire 7730 ...... only clue so far is a lock on the sound icon in the cairo-dock,

Update - Sorted - a Re-installation cured it .....
