Hi, just wanted to say thanks for the fan+wireless advice on the forums/wiki/launchpad - since all the l1310g threads seem to have been archived this seems as good as place as any. I've moved to Arch, so I probably won't be hanging out here so much anymore. Which brings me to another thing: Arch introduced me to the 2.6.26 kernel and an exciting new problem: the wired network going down seemingly randomly - AFAICT due to some problems with the b44 driver. Now, it might be an Arch problem, it might be me not being able to configure the driver properly, but I found a mention of the error message on kerneltrap and noted that the last working kernel was 2.6.24 (which I believe is the one in Hardy, right?) Just thought I'd give you a head's up in case the same thing happens in the next ubuntu release. I haven't found a fix (except to disable APIC by boot param) so it's not much worth I'm afraid thanks again for your help, though
