    I've just installed Kubuntu Jaunty 64bit on my desktop but bootchart only creats .tgz files on /var/log/bootchart, I can't find the png files anywhere. Any help?

    You need to install pybootchartgui. Then run the following.

    pybootchartgui /var/log/bootchart

    This will open it up in a window viewer. After running this command, there will be a .png file in the bootchart folder.
