Only just seen your message. can't remember what the topic was. I've alos just migrated to Thunderbird: much classier product. Just migrating from Lucid to Precise.

Wow, sorry I've only just seen your question. Did you get your Evolution sorted?
As I recall I copied all the files from the tarball into the Evolution folder. I've since migrated to Thunderbird to avoid this kind of hassle.
