I want to use Pidgin OTR and it's really obscure. You posted about it in 2007 so you might know. My understanding it to start a new thread not add to the old one. I added a post to the new thread wanting to use OTR for group chat - maybe I should start a new thread. I will. So this is to tell you I am since you seemed to know how in the past. TY
Oh yeah, I'm still here and alive =) How ya doing? Real life has caught up with, and I don't have much time for tinkering anymore, lol
Raid-based NAS -- very interesting. Nothing wrong with using 7.10 -- 7.04 was my all time favorite. Im still using 8.10 right now so don't consider yourself behind the curve. Just figure I would drop you a line since I hadn't see you in a while and know that you usually provide very valuable information when you contribute.
I've still got one of my default tabs set here, but I haven't posted in quite a while... I still like to read the drama that goes on in the Resolution Center, but I spend most of my time contributing over at Readynas.com/forums. They build a RAID-based NAS using debian, so I still get to use a lot of the stuff that I learned through Ubuntu. I'm still running 7.10 at home... I suppose I should update sometime.
Thank you for your perfect 3 commands on setting up a static ip address on this thread, http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=623412
Thought I'd answer here instead of hijacking a thread I didn't write a Samba server howto, but I did write and still regularly support a CIFS tutorial. It's linked in my sig. I do still often recommend the Samba server tutorial also linked in my sig.
