    I would be very much delighted if you could help me in the solving of configuring Micromax cdma modem.

    Well I tried the following steps.
    1. Installed USB modeswithch
    2.Installed Udev
    3. Installed Wvdial
    4.Installed Gnomeppp
    5.Even tried the sudo modeprobe command

    Even now the modem is not functioning.

    the lsusb shows
    Bus 005 Device 002: ID 05c6:2001 Qualcomm, Inc.


    Please enlighten me. The modem is of my colleague who is a recent convert to ubuntu
