Hi I'm ajmctaggart.

Im an MIS/MBA student who wants to add something positive to this community, albeit small, on a daily basis...I feel I have the patience and communication skills to put new users in contact with the long term users that have an answer to their problem...I've been a Ubuntu member for a few months and want to give back where I can.

I realize I don't have enough experience yet to help with unanswered posts, but I am hoping to help in a different way. What if a post is a new topic, that doesn't have a posted solution, or a "modifiable solution" goes days without a response? I feel users are turned off of Ubuntu.

Could I help in some way, getting those threads cleaned up so that they can be addressed?
I hate the "I need help!" threads, and I know support from the community does too...I would like to help people help themselves, teach a man to fish...

AJ, i made a request to join the unanswered post team, but pressed return before i finished my reasoning, i was about to say that I have some experience with compiz and wireless problems, not adverse to reading up on problems, i just want to give a bit back.

Been wondering about asking to join the unanswered posts team. I know that I've not got 300 posts yet. However I work in the IT industry and currently hold EC-Councils Certified Ethical Hacker qualification, Citrix Certified Administrator and various Microsoft certifications. Given my professional IT experience would the group still want an individual to have 300 posts before they would consider them joining the unanswered posts group?
