    Does this work under 10.04? I can't seem to get it working with a cut and paste of these lines....

    to get the tap to selct trackpoint to work You told me:

    "You'll need sysfsutils; you can either search for it in synaptic or do

    Code:
    sudo apt-get install sysfsutilsOnce that is installed, do;

    Code:
    gksudo gedit /etc/sysfs.confand add this line to the bottom, then save it.

    Code:
    devices/platform/i8042/serio1/serio2/press_to _select=1And that should do it."

    Since the time I got the tap to select working, I have had to reinstall 8.10 when the hard disc needed replacement. I did the same as before, but the tap is not working now. What do you think I am missing?

    Dude, that is the best Avatar ever. Please say you wore that to a Meetup somewhere. I wonder how many people get the PB reference.
    You (and your avatar) rock.
    That is all.
