I just replied. It seems a bit more complex as he has /boot but fstab does not show /boot if I am reading the correct fstab? And he moved drives around as entries show sdd but it is now sda, search by UUID overides device so it still works. Next post I will suggest with multiple drives keeping operating systems separate or one on each drive with its boot loader in that drive. Fred
Hi oldfred! I tried to help someone earlier this evening and don't think I did to well. I also asked wildmanne to look into it and he couldn't help either. If you have a chance, could you take a look? http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1849559 Thanks, Jim
Nasty dynamic or SFS partitions. Put my standard post, but any conversion back to basic partitions has risks. Fred
Hope you're doing well today Fred! If you have a chance would you look at this thread and see what you think? I see some things I can't explain. http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1845623 Thanks, Jim
