I just noticed your post on the XFX 8200 board and the problem you had. I just installed one of those and got it working. On boot of the live cd you need to click F6 and remove "quiet splash" and replace with pci=nomsi. Then the cd will boot normally. After installation you'll need to boot into the live cd again and mount your drive and edit /boot/grub/menu.lst and include pci=nomsi at the end of the kernel line. That all got me up and running. However at this time there are issues with the latest nVidia driver (177) and the onboard card. It's usable but not nearly as snappy as you'd expect.. quite laggy at times.
