Just out of interest, what is the meaning of the different playback profiles: CPU--, CPU-, CPU+, CPU++, slim etc?
Only CPU-- seems to give me decent video playback on Live TV...

You can find the meaning of each of them by looking at the details. Those are just example profiles that you can use or modify, and of course you can create your own as well. For more specifics on each of the example profiles provided:

I use a variation of normal and CPU++ on most of my machines. But this all dependent on your hardware, drivers, and what you view.

Hmmm, CPU++ was working for me and I haven't changed any hardware (I did tweak some settings for the Nova-T 500 card to disable the suspend feature and disable IR rx polling but I woudl have thought that would have reduced the system load of teh card), just installed the latest updates then it stopped working properly (low frame rate, flickery video on LiveTV only - recordings OK).
I'll have a play around to see if I can pin down which bit has stopped working.
Cheers,
